June 29, 2004Just a couple quickies, since I’m in Maine, at an internet cafe (somehow, we ended up in a cottage w/o even a phone line). But here are 2 bits of good news in the world: (1) Bush Approval Rating Falls to Lowest Point in NYT/CBS Poll (down to 42%! Yes!), and (2) the Supremes smack down the “enemy combatant” bullshit the Shrubbies were using to violate the Bill of Rights (see, e.g., The rights of detainees).
Maybe I should leave town more often.
