Every breath I take, every move I make
December 7, 2004So, I’ve been setting up new versions of the blogs using WordPress. They’re not linked to anything, and there just sitting in some directories there with a couple of test posts on them. A day or so later, they already have comment spam. I actually haven’t had a big problem with comment spam in the past, but both the test blogs have gathered about a dozen bits, all from some online gambling place. So I’m both disgusted with this, but also a little impressed with their efficiency.
But what really blows me away is the content. They of course use content that might not trigger filters, and then insert a link to their business. (This is largely to pump up their Google standing.) But the first bit I look at has as its dummy text the following:

So what’s the second one I open?
Colourless green ideas sleep furiously.
What, the Chommer? Do they know where I went to school or something? The creepy factor just jumped up an order of magnitude.
One more, I say. They can’t get that lucky 3 times in a row; so I look:
The Christian religion not only was at first attended with miracles, but even at this day cannot be believed by any reasonable person without one.
Nuff said.
