The family business

My wife picked up the Great Philosophers Finger Puppets for Ozzy and me this week (from the excellent Unemployed Philosophers Guild), and we’ve been playing with them. The set has puppets for Plato, Kant, Hegel, and Nietzsche (no Descartes? What were they thinking!), and he’s learned to speak some pretty good catch-phrases for them (e.g. Nietzsche says “God is dead” and “What does not destroy me makes me stronger”).
But he’s also decided that they have a rock band: Frontman “Freddy” Nietzsche on vocals, Kant on guitar, “George” Hegel on bass, and Plato on drums.
What I want to know is, how did he get the band assignments exactly right?
