NYS Assembly passes gay marriage
June 20, 2007How about that: The NYS Assembly passes legalizing gay marriage (One ‘I do’ for gay marriage) — not “Civil Unions” or some other second-class shit, but real gay marriage. What with the Gov’s support too (see Gov. Spitzer backs gay marriage for NY), it’s almost enough to make you proud of your state.
Of course, the ‘Publican-controlled Senate probably won’t pass it, so I’m not putting on my clerical collar (see Marryin’ Ron) for the wave of gay weddings yet. But still.
