From Jott to reQall — a new voice-to-email service

September 23, 2008

I have been a user of Jott (which allows you to, among other things, make a voice call that then gets transcribed as text and emailed to you) for quite a while, and it’s a great way to make quick notes in the car and the like. But they recently came out of beta, and now the free account doesn’t do nearly as much.

Fortunately, LifeHacker had the same situation, and now has a great article on Free Alternatives to Replace Jott’s Functions. Lots of good suggestions there, but the big one for me was replacing the voice-call-to-text-memo function, and reQall does that, frankly, better than Jott ever did.

So if that’s a function you need, check out reQall.
